ejecting CF cards

I always format the CF or SD cards whenever I insert them into the camera.

I have no idea how easy it is on Canon. On Nikon DSLRs, there are quick formatting options by pressing and holding the two buttons with the red format labeling. By contrast, on my Sony NEX-7, you must scroll through a poorly designed menu system.

Still... I always format the cards... That way I know they are completely empty, non-fragmented, etc and ready for best performance.
