Thanks Jon. Not sure how long of an exposure I could get before noise would start to creep in. It's something I haven't explored. I do know that the longer the exposure, the longer the write times were. Just the 8 second exposure was a bit frustrating to wait for the image to be written to the SD card. After the exposure, it was another 8-10 seconds before the write to SD was complete. Not usually a problem, but when you're shooting fireworks you don't have much time to wait, especially during the finale. The aperture of the camera maxes out at F/11 too, so I couldn't stop down any further for longer exposure times.
