Mini travel tripod for G1X

browsing through B&H's website i came across this duopod monopod and tripod Kit...

what do you guys think of it? does it look like a good combo? i'm thinking with the monopod attached to the tripod and extended to the max it looks like it'd be at a decent height, although not very stable.. one plus is that it looks like i'd be able to take group family photos without leaving anyone out using the duopod!
