Yes indeed, things have evolved to the situation where with in camera software, the compacts seem more flexible and able in difficult situations then dSLR camera of only a few years ago. Ofcourse not when it comes to pure speed and IQ, but still.

Also the quality of the zoom, provides a very good print.
