I don't think that is a very good method for bracketing. I don't see any advantage to using the self-timer over plain CH, and CH in LV keeps the mirror up between shots.

Just tried LV with CH and it seams the easiest solution for multiple shots with mirror up for HDR. The only draw-back is you are limited to 3 second shot delay, but Luke Zeme "prefers" 2 seconds with his technique. The only inconvience with this method is you have to hold the shutter/remote button down the whole time. But, it saves you from going into menus and setting up Luke's technique.
