These people speak Japanese. There is no question of "mistranslation". It's clear that Hiroyuki Sasa said EM-5 has a Sony sensor.

Now obviously this didn't happen overnight. Olympus must have contracted Sony to make the sensor years ago. I am guessing Olympus contracted Sony back in 2010 when Sony's 16 MP APSC sensor made big news in K-5/D7000. If you remember, there were dozens of threads even on this board where people were asking Olympus to dump Panasonic and buy sensors from Sony, or use the 16 MP APSC sensor in crop mode. I remember (do google search). That was a common theme on this board in 2010 when D7000/K-5 were dxomarked.

It took Olympus two years from that point to finally release a camera (EM-5) with the Sony's sensor.
