Vivitar 90mmf/2.5 Series I macro (1 img)

Question on adapter for JLawson (OP). I have the treasured and above mentioned lens and adapter with a Canon FD mount. My 1:1 adapter lens mount is highly polished chrome metal outside and inside (see attached pic). Although I use the adapter seldom, in past I have not noted any flare. But your post started me thinking if I should black out the inside perhaps? The outside would improve in looks as well as everything else is black except for the rotating collar tripod mount knob on the adapter (which the design was most solid and genius)
