Lens help please

From the experience I have with the 45-200 I don't think I could get away with the 45. My daughter is too inquisitive and a lot of my shots are taken inside of 3 feet. Any idea on how the market is for a used 20 1.7? It wouldn't hurt so bad if I could get a couple hundred bucks back from that one...
