Why questionners don't search first

I often see some regulars get frustrated with the same questions coming up from new questionners. But it's no good getting cross with them, they've already committed the "crime".

This forum is simply too big to search properly, and would benefit from subdivisions under headings. The subdivisions would make it a whole lot easier to search. Especially if posters put properly descriptive names into the titles of their threads. I have used the search box quite a bit myself and find it doesn't really help. Eg if I have a G3 question it returns everything ever said about a G3, most of which is useless to me.

Is this an impossible thought? Or even a crazy one?
