Monitor for editing
|
Since there are already 1000 threads on this topic, I thought I'd add one more.
The research I've done here, on other forums, and reading various review websites have led me to two monitors:
ASUS PA246Q
Dell U2412M
Keep in mind that-- for now, and most likely the next few years-- my goal is to have my photography earn me some extra money (landscapes, portraits, the occasional wedding) but that it's not my main income.
I would like my images to be as color accurate as possible. I feel it's a waste of time editing images if they're not at least reasonably color accurate.
I'm leaning towards the ASUS bc of the reviews, but in the interest of saving some money, I want to see if the extra $200 or so is really worth it. Are the differences that significant?
I'm certainly open to spending money on a monitor calibrator.
Thanks for your help.
