Some very nice videos.

Was that you playing the piano or was it a very accomplished friend? I am very envious because that must be such a nice source of background music and no royalty issues if the right music is played!

Here is an attempt of mine to match some 'live' music to a video of some winter birds

Was all the video shot on the pro Sony camcorder and if so, what do you think of it so far?

It was our piano, but my friend Eric playing, http://www.erichimy.com/

The winter and fall videos were from the Sony EX1R, while the Goldfinch video was taken with the Panasonic GH2 (not hacked) in the EX mode and a heavy video tripod. I believe the piano video was with the EX1R. Birds move so quickly (except the Blue Heron) I’ve found I like some slow motion with them better than regular 24 or 30fps.

The EX1R is an excellent video camera with a ton of capability. A proper video camera is considerably easier to use than a DLSR for video. If you are thinking about buying a video camera, do Philip Bloom is always a good bet for top quality video, https://vimeo.com/search?q=fs700
