7D firing twice when shutter pressed half way, anyone else?

Drive mode not wrong

You replied back to me, not the OP. Please check your thread controls.

I really don't understand how any of this could be caused by anything except user error. The drive mode isn't wrong; that's like blaming a gun set to automatic for firing multiple rounds when the trigger is pulled. The problem is that the shutter release is being triggered, which is most likely caused by the user not knowing the sensitivity of the shutter button. If it's really something else, that would be weird. The OP is suggesting that the half-press causes the shutter to release, and that's like a gun firing by lightly touching the trigger. It obviously shouldn't do that.
