I have a Nikon D700 DSLR and two flash units (SB900).
Although the SB900 can be triggered by the flash on the D700 DSLR, it's not always reliable.
Can anyone please suggest a setup (product, model) that would work, perhaps using a radio signal?
Many thanks

If you will spend the money I can suggest you the PocketWizards Mini1 & two TT5, they work flawlessly with the standard firmware in TTL and if you upgrade to the SB 910 with the beta firmware 3.110

Thank you.
Is the Mini1 the controller on camera and the TT5 to trigger the flashes?

--Yep the mini is the controller and the TT5 is the trigger but if you have enough TT5 's than you can use a TT5 as controller as well ( they are transceivers ) The mini is small but use one button battery, the TT5 use 2 AA's. If you buy the AC3 controller and put it on the mini or on a TT5 , you can from your D700 set the power on three groups of flashes from -3 - 0 - +3 EV in 1/3 steps
hope this helps
