Nikor 16-85MM VR impressed!!!!

It is a really great lens for what it is, that's for sure. I do get tired of f5.6 on DX--it's just not much DOF control. But the flip side is the size/weight/cost. While a fixed f4 version sounds intriguing, how much more is it going to cost, how much heavier will it be, and can in match the suburb all-around IQ of the current version?

One very nice thing about the 67mm filter size (of the current version) is the match to the 70-300, should one choose to put on a ND or polarizer. The two make a very great travel set.
