Has anyone an explanation for this or experienced it already?

This was the third image on a Sandisk Extreme 32Gb SDHC card. This is the RAW image shown in ViewNX. ACR refused to open it saying unexpected end of file (or similar). The simultaneously recorded jpeg was perfect.
There were only 4 files on the card, three images and one very short video.
I have only used this card a couple of times and it appears to be genuine.

All suggestions, tests etc gratefully received.

Hi Brian:

I had same/similar results with about 1-2% of my shots with my D7000 and D800 when importing into Lightroom 4.1 via the integrated card reader on my computer. The files looked normal in the camera screen but were corrupted upon reaching LR. I found that re-importing the same files the same way reproduced the same corruption. However, if I imported the files via USB (thereby bypassing the card reader) they came into LR normal.
Cheers,
Colin
