Rare MTO 1000A 1100mm f10.5 for sale...

Here is a rare opportunity to own one of the longest focal length photographic lenses ever made...The Russian-made MTO 1000A Maksutov reflex lens with an amazing 1100mm focal length!

Being a mirror lens its actually quite compact for its focal length...Its about 2/3rds shorter than a Canon 1200mm refractor lens!

Its still a big heavy lens though and you really need to use it on a tripod, or at least a monopod, to get sharp images with it...Forget using it handheld!

It has a T2 mount so it can fit virtually any SLR/DSLR (forward projection of the reflex prism housing in your camera allowing) just by using the T2 adapter for your camera.

Currently fitted with a T2-PK adapter so it fits the PK mount and the Sigma SA mount.

Below is a picture of it fitted to a Sigma DSLR (neither the tripod or the camera pictured are included)

Comes with a huge Lowepro lenscase 5 in like new condition that fits it like a glove and offers excellent protection for it. The case alone is worth about £40.

The focus dial turns relatively smoothly and the there are a few marks on the main mirror (possibly dust) but these dont seem to effect the image quality.
