Why Skin Looks Plastic?

I've reviewd about 10,000 images online from different cameras.

Consistently I see image samples from the A77 that look like it's smoothing skin in a way that looks like plastic.
I seen it less on static subjects compared to one in motion.

Is this common or the result of in body NR or what?
