I wasnt having a go.........just stating something obvious that a lot of books dont cover.

I spent a lot of my life as an art director working with photographers.

My job was to make sure what they shot looked right.

So that means ...that even now..Im an average photographer but I know what looks good.

Plenty of room for improvement for me with a camera

A lot of commercial photographers work with art directors.

So on a food shot you would have the an art director and a food expert.....the photographer and at least one assistant.
Not to mention an account person to keep the client out of the way and happy.
