5D3 Remote Flash Triggering (help)

I bought a cheap Pocket Wizard knockoff. This one:

It's paired up and firing just fine, but the auto mode doesn't seem to work. I'm just getting solid white photos, like it's fire full-blast every time, regardless of what I do with the exposure triangle.

I'm pretty new to flashes in general.

Here is an image that shows what my settings are on the SpeedLite (430EX II) and the camera.

Do I have my settings wrong, or did I buy a cheap product that isn't compatible with the rest of my super cool gear?
