as I said earlier, the lens is in great condition. I inspected the glass carefully and it's very, very clean - the lens has been used very sparingly. The mount could probably use a wiping down (which I have not done) and it would be hard to distinguish from new; operationally it's perfect. These were made to last a lifetime, I have no doubt.

If I don't get any bites here it's off to eBay so make me a reasonable offer and we can discuss further if you're interested. I'd rather not be selling the lens at all, actually, as everytime I get it out I really enjoy using it. I happen to need cash way more than a lens I seldom use at the moment which is the main (and only) reason it's up for sale.
