XZ-1 and fireworks

I will be in an ideal place to take some fireworks pictures this July 4th, and I'm thinking of leaving my GH2 at home and using only the XZ-1. I see the XZ-1 has a Fireworks Scene mode, any idea how useful this is? Any other feedback/suggestions would be most appreciated.
