The quiet mode on D800 is not quiet at all. They should have tackled this issue during the prototype stage indeed. Many pro's benefit from a real quiet mode. Weddings photographers, photo journalists, wildlife photographers etc.
D800 is a fantastic camera. Nikon could have made the it even better
