Can I shoot in Aperture mode whith non sony lens?

I have a 5n with the Sony SEL 50mm that I'm very happy with, but I also would like to explore other lenses. My question is, if I buy a non sony lens, that has manual aperture, will I be able to shoot in Aperture priority mode? will shutter speed and ISO be automatically adjusted? Or with such lenses I must shoot in manual mode?
