1,000 minimum, prefer 2000+ lenses (enough to build a tower to the moon would be another thought)

OK, seriously, my lens logic and lineup I currently own (these are for my OMD)

  • Wide/Landscape Zoom - Oly 9-18mm

  • Standard Zoom - walkaround daytime when only one lens is practical - Oly 14-150

  • Long Zoom - long zoom stuff - Oly 75-300

  • Compact Zoom - on the camera most of the time for spontaneous shots - Pany 14-42X, and have the Oly 14-42 Compact for my EPL1 backup

  • Fast (ish) Primes - wide (Pany 14mm), standard (Sigma 19), portrait/tight candids (Sigma 30mm).

  • Macro - this is currently a hole in my lineup. Have the 12-50mm Oly OMD kit lens, but don't like it real well, so am holding out until fall arrival of numerous new m4/3 lenses and then will decide on a macro.

BTW, I agree with Peter that one or two fast zooms could replace several of the above lenses. This is another option I'll be looking at closely in the fall. For me, the Pany f2.8 zooms are just too pricey. I can afford one, but would feel wasteful paying the big premium price right now with other options on the way. Rumor is that f2.8 zoom competition is coming in the fall from Sigma and Oly, the later with a native m4/3 version their excellent 12-60mm. That could be on my buy list...

Great question, BTW, and good sample shots!

Regards,
Robb
