My first real try for good image

Hey! Your composition is pretty good. I'd say you might want to consider whether this would be a good candidate for a b/w conversion. The colors in the background overwhelm your subject and going b/w might allow you to draw attention to your subject.

Here's one try at that -- there are many other ways to make it work, of course!
