5100 or 3200 to replace D50

My wife wants a DSLR for use around the house so I thought I'd give her my D50 and upgrade. I have a 18-55 and 55-200 lens. Thought I'd maybe pick up a prime lens and just buy a body (5100 or 3200?). We will share the 3 lenses. She will use her camera for pics of her craft projects and our grand-daughter.

I take mainly landscape photographs. I want to upgrade to get better image quality and be able to do more cropping than I can with the 6 megapixel D50. I am interested in enlargements up to poster size.

I shoot mainly in aperture or priority mode outside, portrait setting for indoors. 80% of my pictures are outdoors.

I see these two cameras are about the same price where I live. The salesperson feels the 3200 is a better value for my type of photogarphy.
