Because of the noise reduction inherent in demosaicing the X-Pro1, it's images look like they have so much less noise than the E-M5. This straight from the studio comparison tool:

However, downloading the E-M5 image and applying a bit of NR in Lightroom (and photoshopping the result into the above image, we get an image with less noise than the X-Pro1 and with more fine detail:

You can do the comparison yourself simply by downloading the RAW images of other cameras, opening them in Lightroom and applying a bit of NR.

Some will like the X-Pro1 images better than OM-D, but if you apply sharpening after NR to the OM-D you end up with images that look a lot like the X-Pro1 (i.e. they start to show the problems in the X-Pro1 images.)
