Keep the RAW files and buy new HDDs!
Actually after editing my 'keeper' RAW files in Lightroom I export them to uncompressed 16bit TIF files for further editing in Photoshop and use JPG files only for the web. For every 'keeper' image I've got a RAW, a 16bit TIF and a small JPG web file. A RAW file is big? Uncompressed 16bit TIF's are three times the size... but HDD are cheap.
After the whole internal image HDD with all files and folder structure get backed up on two identical external HDD's using SyncBack freeware.
Forget CD and DVD. They are too small and last only some years.
