s95 battery life is too short
In my early days of shooting with a Canon compact camera, I was on a wonderful tirp to Turkey. I was faithfully charging my battery every night. But of course I was shooting all day long. As I stood on a hill overlooking the entrance of the Bosporous into the Black Sea, my battery died. I vowed then that would never happen to me again, and so when I go out to shoot with my S95 I have two fully charged batteries.
I rarely have to switch to the second battery, unless I'm wandering around a city or other site where I want to take many, many pictures. But I am always more confident because I have the second battery in my bag.
It's a small camera and a small battery. It seems reasonable to me to keep a spare battery with me.
