D800 & SB910 Help !... Please...

After going through the manuals for both the D800 and the SB910... it looks as though I have answered my own question.... To quote the D800 manual:

"When a flash is used, exposure compensation affects both background exposure and flash level"

So, this is, in my mind, a total COCK-UP on Nikons behalf.... and, nearly everything that nobody ever uses, can be changed in custom functions... BUT NOT THIS !

If I could off-load the D800 I would probably go for the Canon 5D Mk3... and the excellent radio-controlled flash system... But, I will actually just curse every-time I use a Nikon flash...
