A real entry level would go further - it would be something between

1. pentaprism finder with 95% coverage and lower magnification than D700
2. 3 fps only

3. with screw drive (because some current FF lenses are still AF-D) but no aperture ring coupling for MF lenses
4. body layout similar to the D7000, but probably without the top LCD
5. body build like the D80 - polycarbonate body, internal metal sensor housing
6. two control wheels (I wanted to say 1, but considering D80 has 2...)
7. no mirror lock-up
8. use liveview instead of physical DOF preview

THAT is what I call an entry level body - basically, give or take, a D80 with an FF sensor.

My prediction/wish list. I hope they make a REAL entry level full frame. Make it cheap but with a good sensor. Would be an awesome backup cam for d800 owners, or an upgrade for a lot of older APS-C shooters (like d7000 or d5100 owners who want to go full frame)

4-5fps. Nikon won't want significantly faster than the d800
Video probably equal to d800
95% viewfinder, same as d700. 100% is a luxury feature for expensive cameras
Body build similar to d7000
