A lot of focus on resolution when there is so much more to it. Probably most importantly the refresh rate and update lag, which has improved a lot, as has dynamic range, especially for the OLED finders.

Fact is, there were only a few models using the technology the first years, which largely explains the relatively slow progress at that time (expensive, only a few developers, little competition within the EVF domain). But it's hard to deny that with the arrival of the mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras using EVF's, a mere 3 years ago , a lot has changed still in all the areas mentioned. And we haven't seen a real high end implementation in a stills camera yet .

The more they sell and the more competition, the more progress we will see in this area.
