Well, there is. Now you may not approve of the spelling which is another matter, but some dictionaries regard "lense" as a variant spelling.
"Correct" English is a malleable affair. If you read Shakespeare in its original spelling you would consider it "incorrect" too.
The more you look into the business of "correct" language the more you realise that's it's just horse excreta.

"Correct" Italian is something you learn in a book. No-one speaks it. They all speak dialect.
