Vello Shutterboss with D800e

I was wondering what I should know about using this. Will I have to worry about the camera moving slightly after the shutter is released?

I connected the receiver to the 10-pin connector and I think I'm in single-shot mode (S). While the focus is slightly affected by my remote, the shutter doesn't release.

I've spent the obligatory 2 hours on it before asking for help and here I am.
