LR4.1 Import Troubles

I first noticed the problem with the D800 and the CF card. However, I just came back from a trip with the D7000 and the same problem exists with SD cards too.

Based on prior feedback above, I installed the D700 SD card with the faulty files in the D800 and used the USB cable to copy the "corrupt" files to the HD, then I imported into LR from the HD. Guess what, no problem! I also used the USB cable to copy the corrupt D800 files to the HD and then imported them to LR, again, no problem!

Based on this test, I eliminated both cameras and memory cards as the source of the problem. Still unresolved the card reader and the LR import function.
