I recently bought an Eizo ColorEdge 27" monitor to replace a pair of HP 20" monitors that I had been using.

The Eizo is really nice and the built in colour calibration is very simple to use and effective.

One thing I noticed about this monitor is that being designed for photo / graphical applications it's not nearly as bright as my old monitors. This is a good thing. With my old setup (even when calibrated with a Huey Pro), I always found that what was displayed on the screen was always a lot brighter than what I got in print. With the new monitor it is a lot closer.

A good quality, properly calibrated monitor can make a big difference.
