Damselflies eating with MPE65 lens
Jun 24, 2012

Hi all

Had some fun with the MPE65 lens recently. There were lots of damselflies out today but no dragonflies whatsoever - I think the weather just hasn't been warm enough for them.

Damselfies can be approached very easily when they are eating as these two specimens demonstrate.

I really enjoy this lens. It's very useful in the UK because larger insects can be scarce when the summer is so poor! Hope you enjoy the photos. Shallow DOF really does make these pictures a challenge - it's not always easy to line up the focal plane as well as wold be ideal.

Cheers
Marcus
