Video or Stills should decide it.

I think it comes down to still vs video here. The G1X would easily be the choice for stills due to the massive sensor it has. As usual though, canon refuses to make a high FPS camera and stops at just 24fps.

The Sony can shoot video all the way up to 60 fps at 1080p. The video should look much superior on the Sony. I have the sony HX9V and the 60fps is a requirement if you are shooting handheld video to reduce the shakey look. Getting just 24fps to me is a waste of a good camera if video is important to you.

Since I need a pocketable camera for video, I am going with the Sony, even though I am all torn up about the sony not having as big of a sensor as the Canon. If I was heavily leaning to stills, it would be the G1X all the way.
