NYT -- new way for photographers to make money

My girlfriend is a doula and birth photographer. Prior to meeting her I had a vague knowledge of the role of a doula, and even less knowledge of what a birth photographer would do. It's really amazing to see such sweet photos of an incredible time, and I admire her for how well she pulls it off, especially since she's relatively new to photography. Documenting a true "once in a lifetime" event, at least for me, is a must.

For my kiddos from previous marriages, I wish there had been something besides the crappy snapshots, but even those are better than nothing at all.
