Auto ISO with Manual Exposure
Jun 22, 2012

First thanks to all on the forum - as a newbie X100 owner, it's been incredibly helpful. Now to my question:

I generally use auto-ISO with sensible limits for ISO and shutter speed. This works fine in aperture or shutter priority mode, as I can still adjust exposure with the exposure compensation dial. However, in full manual mode, exposure compensation seems to be disabled, which makes it impossible to over- or under-expose shots, as the auto-ISO will simply adjust to 'correct' my manually-set aperture and shutter speed values.

I realise that I could simply switch off auto ISO when in Manual Exposure, but this is a bit of a pain so is there any way to

1) have the X100 switch off auto ISO when in Manual Exposure, but switch back automatically to Auto ISO when in any other exposure mode
2) deliberately iver- or under-expose when auto ISO when in Manual Exposure
