Help with movie format
Jun 22, 2012

I have been using Adobe Premiere Elements to edit my movies and then save in AVI - DV NTSC Standard. So far I'm happy with this format. It's popular and the image quality seems to hold up.

I'm really confused about all of the formats available for saving movies. I would like to boil this down to a couple of that I can depend on for high quality and a format to compress for the internet. I also want to stay with popular formats that will play 10 years from now.

I understand JPEG, TIFF and NEF for images and I know which one I want to use.

Can someone give me some suggestions for movies, because there are so many choices.

Thank you,
