The SB 700 has a setup menu for DX/FX on the strobe. The SB 800 doesn't. But I think while using a CPU lens, the D7000 conveys zoom info to a flash mounted in the hotshoe.

The SB900 does too. When the SB700 is set to 'DX' does it automatically zoom to match the DX format FOV? The SB900 doesn't on either a D7000 or D2x or D2H.

According to the book, GNs are automatically modulated to either FX or DX DOF statistics.

I think you mean FOV? I expected that the SB900 should do this, but it doesn't with DX cameras.
