XP-1 Lack of Diopter-- Is this a "Pro" Camera

I know this has been discussed a little before, but need some specfic feedback regarding the lack of a Diopter adjustment with this Cam. I have 20/20 vision, but at 49 years of age my near vision is starting to fade a bit. Does anyone else with similar problems have any issues using this Cam. In the store I find that using the OVF is a bit difficult to read, but when I switch to the EVF it seems better.

Does anyone know of any camera that calls itself a "Pro" camera that doesn't have a Diopter adjustment? Also, can someone explain to me how the X100 and XP-1 have essencially the same hybrid VF and the X100 has the Diopter yet they omitted it on the XP-1. This must have been a purposeful omission but for the life of me I can't understand why.
