What lens do I need to shoot from a balloon ride?

What KariP says. Of your collection, it's a no-brainer--the 15-85. That's a wonderful--once-in-a-lifetime?--opportunity., The 10-22 is too restricting, IMHO; you'll get some great shots but miss more others. The 15-85 is better for your pusrposes than 17-55 because of its wider focal range, and there's no need for f/2.8 from a balloon, IMHO. The 55-250 also might be good but I'd rather have the wider range of the 15-85, although the 55-250 is so light I might try to sneak it aboard anyway.

Don't forget to take photos of the balloon itself! There should be great views from the gondola. Post some here when you get back.
