Feedback requested from Nikon 1 users

Most of my pictures these days are family events/days out. I realised that the amount of time I get for serious picture taking is very limited these days so a smaller outfit is much more appropriate.

The downside of having had some very good camera gear in the past is I know how good it can get - I am realistic in terms of my expectations and the feedback from you guys is very encouraging

I sometimes (not often enough!) get to visit a very old friend in the States where we generally try to do a good road trip into the wilds. I appreciate that I won't (at the moment) get wider than 27mm (although that's as wide as my G1X goes) but I'm guessing the greater DOF could actually be a benefit for landscapes etc
