Tripod Suggestions for a77+battery grip

I use a 70-300, but almost never on a tripod. I mainly would use it for wide angle landscape shots. I would say that 90% of my tripod usage comes while using lenses with a focal range of 18-70mm. I understand the importance of purchasing a tripod that will lase, however I am a college student, and anything above $120 is pushing it. The tripod I currently own is great for lighter cameras, however not steady enough for the a77+vg. I would love to purchase a higher end tripod, but at this point i would sooner settle for a middle of the road one than none at all.
