The ability to use control points to determine levels of noise reduction at various points around an image is a HUGE deal, and personally makes Dfine my favorite. Even if I prefer the overall NR capabilities of Topaz, there's much less control.

I've used Neat Image and Noise Image, but settled on Niks Dfine 2.0. I like its detail preservation and the ability to use control points. Havent tried Topaz or Noiseware. Noise isn't that big an issue as I tend to shoot base ISO or close to it on the D3x, where theres virtually no noise But when my D800 arrives I'm going to be tempted to handhold more at higher ISOs as its better at that than the 3x, so I may try the others.
