MIcroft introducing new tablet with win 8

I just read about it on engadget and I think it may be a winner for me if I can photo edit on it as well. Weighs more than the others but still less than 1kg so could be great for travelling. My lenovo x201 is 2.5Kg so now as I am older I leave it at home and take my asus t101mt for travelling which even struggles with Picasa. What do others think? Especially you Jeff Peterman as I respect your views.
