I came across that interesting review of the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 OS Macro lens. When they tested the Optical Stabilization of the lens, they found an interesting quirk: At 1/60 sec, the OS is inducing blur in hand-held shots. There's more blur at 1/60 sec than there is at 1/15. In fact, there's more blur at 1/60 with OS, than there is at 1/60 without OS.

Interesting quirk of the Sigma OS on this lens. It makes me wonder:

  • How many other Sigma lenses are affected by this 1/60 sec blur?

  • What if the OS for other Sigma lenses have similar behavior at a different shutter speed?

  • What other kinds of "surprises" does the OS have that haven't been discovered?

Not only SIgma, I've had similiar experience with Tamron 17-50mm VC
