x pro 1 - auto focus issue?

Dear all,

I bought an x pro 1 and I love the quality. I'm happy with it.
Nevertheless, yesterday i became a bit frustrated.

It was a sunny day and was taking shots behind a large tree... the camera was not able to put on focus my friend 1,5 meters from me off!

I tryed 4,5 times and than one was on focus, than again 2-3 out of focus.

If it grab's the focus it is knife sharp, but why this issue? I checked the immages and all the out of focus were on infinite focus. But I'm sure I put the square on my friend and not on the horizon!

I read about some auto focus issues, but in dark conditions and not during a summer day in the shadow of a tree!

If somedody wants, I can send the samples.

I would kindly ask your suport to:

-know if my camera has an issue and if I should bring it back to the shop;

-If this is the "known" issue and perhaps there are tricks to solve, even partially, this issue;
